| Post subject: | Anti-pitchpole Hydro-foils for a 1985 H14 turbo |
I want to add some anti-pitchpole hydrofoils to the tips of my hulls. The H16s and the new H14s have a tang bolt that goes through the tip of the hull. The hydrofoils are bolted on to this bolt. The older H14s do not have the tang bolt going through the tip of the hull. It is further back, thus there is nowhere to attach the hydrofoil. Is it OK to drill a hole at the very tip of the hull in order to attach the hydrofoil or will this cause problems and possibly cause the tip to break off? Your help is greatly appreciated!
