So I finally found a nice used set, and was wondering if someone can send me pics. or a description of how you mount it to the trailer. I've just got it tied behind the mast stand with some rope, but I know there's a better way.
thanks in advance

I put mine in long ways on the trailer and use the rope on the ends to tie it to the trailer. I've also seen people put them on top of the hulls right in frontnof the front crossbar.

I saw a 2011 Hobie 18 at Galveston a few weeks ago. It had cradles that looked like they were for a bench press weight rack welded to the trailer. The wheels tied down to the trailer. BTW the brand new hulls were beautiful inside and out on that boat, WOW.

Similar to lakewateree except I clamped two 1" pieces of electrical conduit about 12" apart to the trailer crossbars. Set the tire on the round conduit and just slide the cat trax under the boat. (Why lift the cat trax when you can slide them).Tie them down to the trailer with the line from the trax and good to go.

I have a friend who did what DVL does except he used small PVC pipe. Slides really well

I use the same method as Eragon, it's simple, easy, secure and no trailer mods.

On my H16 I use two 24" bumpers laid fore and aft on the hull topsides fore of the front cross bar, invert the cradles onto them and then tie it down.

The bumpers offer the perfect, soft cushion to keep them safely in place AND from damaging the hulls, and they double as stern pads when necessary.
