Does anyone know of a good source for matching colored sail tape? I need pink, and the green and gold of the tequila sunrise. Thanks in advance. |

You won't find colored repair tape in the same weight as the original cloth, but you can use colored spinnaker repair tape. Annapolis Performance Sailing: http://www.apsltd.com/Tree/d3000/e2131.asp (scroll about halfway down the page) Those guys have awesome service - I ordered a wind meter Wednesday and it'll be here today. |

Thanks!! Mbounds.. Is this what everyone does. I think I need every color they have, except black and white. Of course, I only need a foot from each roll. With all the colored sails Hobie has made, you'd think they could keep a vendor pretty busy. Also, does this tape work where battans are wearing through? |

Since it's the only thing available, yeah, everybody uses it. It will "work" where the shrouds/battens wear through the sail, but not for long. Best way to fix that is to 1) get plastic covers for the shouds (or new coated wires) and 2) get a sailmaker to sew on clear plastic wear strips like what comes on the new sails. |
