I got about 30 stitches in my foot and an awesome scar when I slipped.

Yikes!

Another good reason we went to integrated tracks on the Hobie 16 in the mid 90's.

If you're talking about the H18 tracks that run from bow to stern, then you get a CAT-a-pult :D Pull the pin on the jib car and ZING - off it goes

I do have pics of my foot after the slip, but I can't figure out how to post them. Any one that can help? Any one interested?

I assure you that you that I'd have much rather torn my suit than my foot, mainly because it was my girlfriends first experience with sailing (she was just watching from another boat). The whole experience was way more tramatic for her and the other ladies that were around than it was for me, the guy who was actually bleeding. Her crazy aunt actually told me that after this experience, "I guess now you'll just have to sell that boat."

I'd have to say that after the whole experience I've come closer to my boat, it now has enough of my blood in it for me to consider it part of the family.

I rip my friggin' swimsuits in the EXACT SAME SPOT but I do it on my 20 and I never seem to figure out where I am doing it. Its a ploy from Quicksilver/Mossimo/Walmart to sell more swim suits.
