Hi all,

I remember seeing an old movie about a multi-day sailing trip on beach cats. I'm pretty sure they were hobies - they had benches on the side, so I'm guessing maybe 17's - and I think they were sailing in the Pacific North-West.

Two parts of the film stick out in my mind - one where they are talking about being wet all day, then getting into a damp sleeping bag, in a damp tent, then getting up the next day and doing it all over again - and another part where they are sailing faster than a cruise ship, and speculating that the captain must be angry that he's in a multi-million dollar ship and can't beat a couple of little sailboats.

Does anyone know this movie, and remember what the name is?

North West Passage maybe?

I also have a vague memory of maybe Paul Ulibari sailing down the North West? I have an image in my head of them launching from docks in an area with large tidal swings.

Matt Bounds might remember maybe?

No, that's not the one - but wow! That looks like one heck of a trip! I can't wait to read the story.
