We replaced the front crossbar on our H-18SX, and did not complete all the stainless steel rivet replacements that needed to be done. Each rivet took 15 minutes or more to do. None of the hand rivet tools are rated for stainless steel.

We need to mount the cover plate for the spi pole. What would you recommend, please?

I bought a rivet tool at Northern Tool. Its got long handles and can easily pop the stainless rivets with steel mandrels. I think it was less than $30. The same rivets you used elsewhere on the crossbar should work for the spin as well. 1/4 to 1/2 long, can't remember the dia. number.
