Have a Spinaker Trumpet for hobie FX-0ne and was wondering if anyone has words of wisdom for Repair. It is broken in the middle. |

Repairing a spinnaker trumpet broken in the middle may not be worth fixing. If you do repair by laminating layers of glass and resin...you must sand in interior surfaces absolutely smooth...any sharp edges will shred and destroy your spin. Best to junk it and get a soft bag designed snuffer. I broke my Tigers trumpet in 2003 and ended up cutting the opening part off about 12 inches from the end. I glassed on a rounded edge where I cut it and made a bag out of pentex sail material. This worked good until I upgraded to a Hobie snuffer ring with bag. John Bauldry Hobie Wildcat #194 |

Agree whole heartedly Karl...SNU is by far the best snuffer I've ever had/used. I've currently got one on my Wildcat. Just didn't know if rumscheid wanted to go top end. JB |

Some days Rumscheid doesn't know what he wants till someone takes his hand or gives him a little advice. Thanks for all of it. I just bought the FX-one and it was sitting in a barn for a while. Nice shape but missing a few things and the manuals suck. Anyone know the length of the 2 front bridle cables. They are missing and I thought I would just have them made up rather than hoist the mast in these temperatures to measure. They should be around 45 inches I think. |

pin to pin centers the length is 1230mm or 48.5 inches |
