Just brainstorming here. Would it be possible/advisable to make my own solo righting system out of dyneema or spectra line?

Anyone have approximate lengths of the typical wire rigging for a Hobie 16?

Not a shroud lengthening system like that, since it uses the bulk of the Nicropress sleeves / thimbles to prevent the wire from going through the shackle.

The problem with Dyneema in this application is its lack of abrasion resistance and susceptibility to fraying.

You definitely don't want a failure in use - a upside down, dismasted 16 is nearly impossible to right on the water. Don't ask me how I know.
