Hi, I was looking and reading the "Hotline" as I had inquired about sail colors over the years (posted on Hobie 16 forum). Read that because of slow production in the 80's the multiple stripped sail panels were eliminated. http://www.hobiecat.com/hobieclass/eHCA ... 4_2006.pdf My sails are the "Prism" from 1983 even though my hulls are from nov 1987! Need new sails but thats a different story. I was wondering what manufactuer was supplying Hobie Cat with the Dyed Dacron they used to make these funky sails. I know Dacron is polyester cloth, trademark registered by DuPont, but who was actually dying these cloths and supplying?? thanks! |
