I live in Cape Coral and go to FGCU. FGCU has a Hobie that I have used quite a bit along with participating in some of their sailing club events. I want to purchase a Hobie in central-southern FL and was wondering if there was anyone out here I could borrow to make sure I wasn't buying a junker or if any reputable users here had one up for sale. My sailing experience is low and wanted to know if someone could help me attain a higher understanding as well. Oh....is there a club for this area??? The basics of sailing I know...the application is the issue. Thank you all! William |

Post pictures of the boats you're considering or links to their classified ads. There is enough experience on this site that we can probably point you in the right direction without actually seeing the boat in person. It's a starting point at least. The main thing to look out for is soft spots in the hulls. Everything else will be fairly easy to spot (holes in the sails, dents/cracks in major structural components, damaged or missing parts). sm |

Paging, coralreefer, Mr. reefer to the forum please. He lives in Cape Coral and is a good 16 sailor. If need be, I'm up in Punta Gorda. Check out the Charlotte Harbor Regatta in Feb. |
