Post subject:  New sail boom and tiller bags Homemade from Sunbrella fabric

The wife just made 2 Sunbrella fabric sail bags for the hobie fleet of the HC16 and the mighty HC21SE. Pretty simple work on the home sewing machine. The fabric was cut 10 feet long X 36 inches wide This was stiched up and a rope pocket was sewn into the end. Sunbrella fabric is very water resistant yet is breathable. This should be a lifetime sail bag. I order my Sunbrella from a local fabric distributor and buy end lots just for the good price. Also use UV resistant sewing thread. Estimated cost probably about 30 bucks. There is plenty of room for a main and jib boom tiller hot stick paddle and maybe a life jacket or three
I will say these look better than any factory bag that I have ever had and no I will not make you one
