A storm overnight in Wawa, Ontario (wind gusts of 60km/hr) has flipped my Hobie 18. She was moored in the water, and pulled to shore just after midnight, turned crosswise to the wind and flipped. She has broken the left (now upside hull) jib cleat off, shredded the job. I was able to remove the boom, tiller bar and main sail (rolled and tied to tramp). Because she is crosswise to the wind, I untied the ropes on the tramps and split them to allow the wind to pass between relieving pressure on the mast. This is a gamble, because that has also removed some of the structure between the hulls. The mast is at this time still okay, and the rivets where she attaches to the spreader bars are still good. The boat is resting on the right magnum wing, which I am sure is applying a lot of stress to the hull. I am praying very hard that the winds lessen now, and she will be okay. What I am looking for is ideas on how to right her in the morning. She is on shore, and the water is less that 2" deep where the left hull will drop. What is the best way to right her? Brenda
