Which one?

Looks like Hobie Cat Europe is showing lots of boats at the Paris show.

I am guessing you are talking about the first boat that says concept boat on the side?

It looks like the Hobie 14 with less rocker and the rig is more like the 16 rig but still a Uni.
As for the other two boats. The Hobie tiger which you should recognize and the Hobie Max, which is a really cool looking boat that I want but they only make the min Europe so I will be without on for a long time.

Yeah, does anyone at Hobie have info on that boat. It looks like it could be alot of fun.

Post subject:  Info

Somebody at Hobie Cat Europe would. We don't always know what they are up to over there.

From a quick look... it is a slightly modified Hobie 14. Not sure what the point would be.

Blue anodize? Could do without that.

Looks like the pylons are shorter?

Shrouds to the deck lip.

Check out the mast base.

Maybe the guy on the video screen in front of the boat has the explaination?

Not sure about the pylons, I thought they looked different as well, however it might just be perspective.

Also, it's a loose footed main.

I like the look of the mainsail.

I have been looking more closely at the concept boat and comparing it to my 14 in the garage.

The hulls are deeper but I think the tramp will sit about the same distance above the water. Also the main looks really cool.

DUH.. I AM RETARDED!!!!!!

But thats kinda silly, if your displaying a CONCEPT, why not just put the production rudders on and kick them up?! Since it is really an intregal part of the design.

Are the other displays rudders cut off?

Post subject:

Yeah, I like to know what the rudders look like on any boat that I am buying.
That boat looks like it could be a one man machine. A little more floatation on the 14 would be really nice.

So has anyone from Hobie looked into what boat this is??

Post subject:  Just that... some concepts.

We had a few execs there. I think it is just that, some concepts. Not any planned production idea. Hobie Cat Europe has done this kind of thing before. Very confusing to the market I think... as proved here.
