I just received the Hobie Trap Harness as a birthday gift. I got an XL, but I am 6'2" and about 235 pounds and it is really tight around my thighs. Does anyone know of another brand of harness that would have larger and/or adjustable leg holes that might fit me? Thanks! |

All trap harnesses run small I've found.... I had to buy and sell 3 before i found one thats comfy. If you cant try them on at a dealer go a size or two too big. you can always adjust the straps tighter. I'm about 6' and 215 and the XL is VERY tight. The sizes must represent the athletes from the 70's that we're 5'10" and 150lbs wet... ended up with a full harness from Gill that's 2Xl and its a little loose but gets perfect with a few adjustments. Ive heard great things about the Zhik T2 but at $280 its a gamble if you don't like it. |

Thanks for the advice. I will see what I can find out there from Gill. Any other affordable / good brands you recommend? |

Murrays has a lot of compact-looking windsurfer harnesses that look economical - how might these work as substitutes for catamaran harnesses for the non-competitive?? |

You might find the issue of comfort isn't actually the size of the harness but the type your wearing. Have a really good look for a 'nappy harness' - which doesn't cut into your groin/thigh area. Super comfortable but they usually come at a price. Best brands Zhik T2 or Gill as mentioned above does a good one too! |
