| Hello all! Just wanted to get the scoop on having a custom sail number. What are the procedures for going about it? Do I have to register a custom number with Hobie to see if its available, or does it not matter and you can just have a sail maker apply your new number? Any feedback would be much appreciated! | |

| Go ahead and do your own thing. there is no 'register' of sail #'s. | |

| Thank you for the info…. Anybody ever peeled the numbers off your sail? Does it leave a nasty residue? What kind of product is safe to use on Dacron to clean off any sticky residue left behind? G | |

| Goo Gone works well, however.... the sun will have bleached the fabric differently when covered/uncovered by sail #'s. | |

| I was told by a sail maker to use lighter fluid. So I bought a can of ronson lighter fluid and used it. It worked well. Required some work but didn't hurt the sail cloth. cheers Bill | |
