The strength is coming from the dyneema kern, and not from the mantle. This vid is in Dutch, but you get the idea. Before you remove the mast, attach a 3 mm rope at one side near the crossbar. Pull the cunningham rope out of the crossbar at one end, attach the long (2,5 m 3 mm) rope to the other end, remove the connection rope and pull the rope through the crossbar to the other side, attach the 3 mmm rope to your boat. Next time when the mast is raised, attach the cunningham rope to the 3 mm rope and pull it through the crossbar on the other side and connect the two ends together. |
