Post subject:  Hobie 16 Port Hull Needed

I had a great sailing day yesterday on Lake Lanier in GA that resulted in a broken port hull on my Hobie 16!

I'm in the market for a replacement in good shape. I'd prefer a white one, but I'm open to assembling a franken - Hobie to get it back on the water.

I'm in Smyrna, GA zip 30082, and would love to find one in GA by Lakes Allatoona or Lanier.

I will be travelling to Seagrove, FL in a week which is in between Destin, FL and Panama City, FL, and I'm open to trailering my boat down to repair then sail in FL after it's seaworthy again.

Please help if you have a H16 port hull for sale or know of one for sale (or is that for SAIL)!

Thanks!

Best option might be a near complete Hobie 16 parts boat that you can inspect somewhat locally.... Scores you a lot of spare parts some of which might be in better condition than on your current boat. Ive seen ok ones for $350-$600 including a trailer. If you have the room to store it you could part out the pieces you don't need and make your money back. Use www.searchtempest.com to find boats. Works well.

That is good information, thanks Tim. I really like that search engine!
