| Post subject: | Hobie 16 Mast Information |
I am in the beginning stages of building a sailboat and have started to look for second hand masts. My preliminary research is showing that a mast from a Hobie 16 just might work, but I don't have enough information to make a final determination. Is there any way to get more detailed information, other than just length which is readily available, about the extrusion used on the Hobie 16 such as cross section and thickness dimensions as well as moments? Any and all help is much appreciated. Thanks |

There are no detailed engineering specifications available. OOH! Are there drawings like this for a Getaway mast? I'm hoping to fit a (much more readily available) 16 mast to the mastless Getaway I just bought and sure could use the measurements to place all the bits in the correct locations. Thanks, Bill in NH |
