Hi all, I am a former dedicated H 16 racer that has been inactive for 15 years. I have picked up a beautiful and well cared for (race tuned) H-16 and am looking to become active again (formerly New England Fleet #28). I used to own a set of beach wheels (not cat trax) that were made in Bradenton Fla.. They were separate wheels with a frame contoured to the H - 16 hull at midships. Does anyone know if they are still available for purchase. They worked very well and were less cumbersome that than the Trax. Thanks for any response. Geoff |

You mean these?: They were about half the cost of Cat-Trax at the time, but having owned both, the Cat-Trax is far superior. The Cat Trans had a nasty habit of slipping sideways under the boat, and the tubes on the inner part would put a hole in your hull. I sold mine with my second boat in 1984. They haven't been made in a very, very long time. |

Thanks so much for the reply. I suspected they weren't made anymore. |
