Hey guys, I love my Hobie Bravo and it's super easy to sail by myself but I'm constantly struggling with getting it set up, more specifically getting the mast up and in place on my own. The mast itself is so tall, heavy and awkward that I usually have to have someone that's stronger than me help me as I'm on the shorter side. One of these days I'd like to be able to get everything set, out on the water, back and packed up all by myself. Any suggestions? Is there harm in leaving the mast up with the sail rolled around it when not in use and docked? |

There's no harm in leaving the mast up, other than sun fade on the sail. I'm a big guy and have no problem stepping the mast. You may want to ask for more ideas on the Bravo forum. |

I wouldn't leave a Bravo mast up for longer than overnight. |

Ideally the mast with furled sailed should always be put away when not in use. You want to avoid long term forces/pressure on the A-frame but also the weather exposure to the sail. |

Can you tip the boat on it's side, hook up the mast and A-frame, and walk the mast up to then right it? |
