I have now set-up my 21SE about 12 times since May. The only consistent crew has been my son. I have a good list of all set-up steps and definitely have the simple list of tasks for first time crew when they ask if they can help. I had my wife out for her first time this week along with my son and daughter. Yesterday the winds were 12-18 and wife son and I were excited to go sailing and tried to set the boat up quickly. 40 minutes from arrival to in the water!!!! We all had the best time sailing and put down in 35 minutes and driving to BurgerMaster to pig-out after 5 hours of sailing. The crew help is the most appreciated help a skipper can get!!!Thank your crew! |

I have a H16 and can back my trailer to the edge of the water. It takes about 15 minutes solo from trailering to sailing. |

It takes me, alone, 45 minutes to set up my Getaway, but I trailer with rudders off, motor off, and I have to use the stepper 3 to raise the mast. With my wife, we can do it in maybe 30 minutes. If I have a second strong person so we can just walk up the mast (no stepper setup), maybe 20 minutes. If I'm using the spinnaker, add 30 minutes to those times! |
