Steady onshore winds (SE) today in North Florida 16mph gusting to 20mph. My little Wave handled it well. I almost pitch poled once when a gust hit while running straight downwind burying the leeward bow but I eased the main sheet and she popped right up after coming to a stop. The beam reach over three to four foot swells felt like the boat was gonna fly every time I would crest one. I came in after three straight hours. I can tell my arms are gonna be sore. I haven't felt this stoked since I quit windsurfing. |
