Need some advice on which hobie would work best for me and my son?
We live in Orange County, Southern California, so we are looking to get involved with an active fleet.
Crew weight 390 lbs we want to know what hobie would work best for us.
Experience sailing mono hulls
looking for racing and regatta opportunities

I would say Hobie 18 or a 16. 18 would be better with combined weight, 16 if you plan to solo some.

I would say either an 18 or a 20. Maybe a 21 also if you could find one. Ryan
