| Post subject: | What electric motor for Holder/Hobie 14? |
I have a Holder 14 sailboat that I have sailed and like it. But I need a motor to get in and out of my new launch site. I need to move about 500 yards across a protected cove in a freshwater lake to get out to the wind and of course back in. Maybe 1 hour of running in a day. I have a small gas outboard motor I could use but I'd prefer to use an electric trolling motor. This will only be used a few times a year so I'd like something simple and not expensive. What do you suggest I look at buying? Ideas for a battery box and hold down? This forum appears to have many helpful people on it. I hope you can help me. Thanks! |
