So I'm working on my "new" '92 H14 Turbo, with rock solid hulls, removing the racing stripes (which were a little crackled along the edges) -- like I don't have enough to do -- in preparation for a thorough cleaning & wax job. I'm using a heat gun and "GOOF-OFF" which are working fine, if slower than I'd like. Then, I get distracted admiring the shine on a part of the hull I already waxed, while pointing the heat gun at the stripes, and I hold it there too long. When I look down, the area of the hull that was getting hot (just below the forward pylon) is forming a raised welt about the size of my palm!
I let it cool, and it sank back down, and now is slightly indented, and it gives a little if I push hard on it. I can hear the faintest creak when I do this. 
Did I delaminate this area? Is this going to get worse and come back to haunt me? I could just kick myself!
