Post subject:  Spinlock cleats

I just replaced my Harken cam cleats with Spinlock PXR's because my wife was having trouble uncleating the jib sheet after I had sheeted it in hard. She would fuss like crazy trying to get the sheet free while I was providing the mostly useless verbal cues on how to get the line free. These Spinlock guys have something going on. I can sheet to the max with both hands (I'm 6'3", 210) and she can get it uncleated with one snap; and the release effort is even adjustable. They retro-fit to the Harken hardware nice; strictly bolt-on. I like 'em on our H21SE. Not cheap, but worth it.

The pxr's are nice. Quite an upgrade from the original which turned so many off. I use one for spin halyard currently. The old ones had too much plastic and jambed or broke.

I use the new Spinlock PXR's for a Tiger downhaul and like them alot. Have been using them for almost two years. I was asked to test them, had to send the first, kind of prototype, set back but the second set have worked great since installed.
