| Post subject: | Carbon Fiber Spinnaker pole splinters |
Hi guys, I'm new here. Recently purchased an H20 with a home made carbon fiber spinnaker pole. I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to either cover or finish the bare carbon fiber to prevent splinters. Every time I touch the thing I end up with a rash! Put on some gloves and lightly sand it with 150 grit sandpaper. Wipe with acetone to clean it. Shoot it with a couple coats of your favorite Home Depot rattle can spraypaint to seal it and protect from UV damage. Store out of the sun when not in use. sm |
