Class rules for the 16 specify a 285 lb minimum crew weight and you can carry up to 50 lbs of dead weight (attached to the boat) to make minimum. If you weigh a minimum of 235#, you can sail singlehanded. I've seen people with their dogs on the boat to make minimum. If you're in C-Fleet (novice), nobody is going to care too much if you're not at minimum, but it's more fun if you've got somebody with you. |

To all of you that didn't come - you missed it at Port Burwell this past weekend. We had 10 - 15 kts on yesterday, not a cloud in the sky and 2 ft waves on Lake Erie. John made awesome fajitas: We drank lots of Margaritas and played silly games: Another awesome Regata de Gatos in Port Burwell, Ontario! PUT IT ON THE CALENDAR FOR NEXT YEAR! FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND 2008 - REGATA DE GATOS V! |

I made it down Sunday morning and was able to see them heading out. Looked like a blast. I got a few photos (not the greatest) of them leaving the beach if you'd like to add it to your archive email me at [email protected] and I will send them to you. I am not sure how to post photos on here. |
