Has anyone modified the rear bunks on your getaway trailer to facilitate loading without lifting the front of the hulls on to the trailer to start cranking the winch ? The hulls are too heavy for my small bod to handle and outside help isn't always available. Do you think lengthening the bunks with 3ft. long pcs. of heavy plastic pipe that slope into the water might be a solution? I am trying to avoid burying my hubs and lights . Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks DJ |

It could work. The longer cradles made of blue pvc pipe. you might want to glue some outdoor carpet to them to wet(Dawn dish soap?) when launching/retrieving. I can see where you would need to support the cradles when the trailer is empty. To have the cradles long enough to help tho, I could see where they would stick out behind the boat once it is on the the trailer completely. Check the length you would need carefully to produce a usable angle. Maybe something detachable? |

Bearing buddy hubs, and submersible lights. Unplug them before you dunk the lights. Why make life difficult? |
