Post subject: | Used Spinnaker |
I am looking to buy a used spinnaker for either a Hobie 16,18, or possible tiger. |

Gree, I'd just bite the bullet and buy a new H16 spin (or similar). You can't beat the prices on spins from Whirlwind. I doubt you'd find a good used spin for the price of a new Whirlwind sail. I've sold all my used I20 spins for more than I've bought new H16 spins for. Even though you say you don't know what you're doing, it will be much easier to learn with a newer spin in good shape that sails as it is supposed to. If you get an old beater spin that is worn out, chances are it'll teach you some bad habits and not perform correctly. Good luck. TB |

I am getting closer to just biting the bullet. I am looking at an INter 17 Spin right now because it is the closest boat to mine. But if I end up going with a H16 spin I had planned to see if you could hook me up with one. I know that a while back you had some for sell. |

I have an almost new Tiger spinnaker I would sell for $450 including shipping. It has only been used a couple of times. I have two other spinnakers and do not need it. Oh, it is Red. Later, Dan |

Dan, I'm having difficulty with the spin I bought from you. Its the skip elliott, wht, gry and blk. Is that spin designed to be sailed with the luff hard as the newer chutes or soft like the old Tiger spins? Most in my area think soft but curl is more controllable if the luff is hard. It wants to collapse when hot with leech and foot hard. |

What are the measurements on the Tiger spin, I am afraid it would be way to big. |
