All right everyone, Here's my story: I'm in San Diego for a few weeks, and haven't had a chance to sail pretty much all summer until last weekend. I was planning on waiting until I get back to UCLA to start back up again, but I need some hull-flying time NOW. I'm sure there are people out there who would go sailing with me, but I need to find them, and I have three weeks left down here. The main problem is I'm about 190 pounds (6'3"), so I'm not the most optimal crew. I usually just sail my 14T at home in SF bay area, which works fine by myself with my height and weight, but I can't use it this summer down here for lack of a tow-capable vehicle. Alternatively, if nobody responds anytime soon, I'll just look into the local fleet down here. Honestly, while I'm not the biggest racer or anything, I have sailed all of my boats pretty extensively. You don't have to worry about that. Just give a poor college student a chance in San Diego. ![]() |

Peter: Since you are in San Diego you should go over to the Mission Bay Yacht Club. There are plenty of Spinnaker cats there. A good fleet with some really nice people. Find out when they have a weekday race and then contact the fleet captain to see if he knows of anyone needing a crew. Later, Dan |
