easy now it gets cold down here, and believe it or not people stop sailing. I've always said If I had clients like yall locally we'd have year round biz. When the air gets in the 60's and water in the low 70's were done. remember I am in North Florida, better know as LA, lower Alabama |

When I lived in Fl (grew up there) me and my friends would go sailing on the Indian River any time of year. Meet in the middle and sway boats. We had a trimaran growing up and friends had Hobies, Prindles and one aqua cat. |

Winter is bad here too. One night last year the temp dropped to 59 degrees. I had to put a blanket on the bed. Tough times. |

If you can't sail when the water temp is below 60 then you need help. Last winter right after getting my new boat we went out in air temps of 50 and water temps of 45. We had wet suites but that is still very cold. |

Our season is year round with the possible exception of December, but most sailing is in Mexico where the water stays pretty warm. |

The Hobie must come off the beach mid October. We then wait for the ice to get thick enough to Ice boat. Nothing like going 45 mph under a 60 sq ft main. Spring is a bummer, no ice and too cold to sail on the cat. ![]() Cold and lots of snow (lake effect) in West MI |
