Great video. Myself and 2 buddies sail Hobie 16's up on the Currituck Sounds just south of Moyock, NC. May try and get down your way this summer and try some of your wind. As well you are always invited up our way. There is a good cheap campground where we have trailers and sail every weekend. Beach the boats @ night and head out in the AM. |

This past year I've been sailing as much as I can with those guys in the video, in Wrightsville. But, I'll go anywhere where there is water. I've gone to Jordan Lake a handfull of times. When I first started I sailed the Bladen County Lakes most of the time, but they are very small. It was good for me to learn on though, they forced me to tack and jybe all the time. Even though those guys in the video and the Wrightsville Beach Coast Guard will tell you I still blow a tack every once in a while. (I ran into the coast guard dock after blowing a tack my first time sailing with those guys) I'm usually chasing those guys opposed to the other way around. I'd love to come up there and check out Currituck, looks like a good area on the map. I live just east of Fayetteville at the moment. Keep in touch james060583 at aol dot com. |

Here is the google link. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en&g ... =addr&om=1 There is a great little campground there. We have permanent trailers there. The winds are great, the water all around is about 5 feet, which makes it great for righting the boats. ![]() Will stay in touch. Sorry didn't mean to hijack the post. |

Keelover, that looks great. Definately keep in touch and you guys need to try and make it down to Wrightsville as well. Again, that video is sick man. Punching through the surf that day looks like it was a blast. |

Keel over, why wait till this summer? Michael , you need to get your boat down as well sometime this winter . The Abbman has been coming down pretty frequently . We recently lost our place in front of the Blockade Runner and currently just have the boats scattered along Banks Channel. That should be fine thru the winter . Hopefully I will find something more permanent by the spring. In the mean time I hope many of you inland sailors will come down. ![]() |

Thomas it's official. I'm coming back down, this time with my 20. Who's out there? Danny, Victor, yourself. Where is South African steve standing up on his wings? Thomas is pretty humble, but when I was there it was five guys on five cats rippin every friday! I miss it! ![]() |

Buzzman, If your heading to Wrightsville you have to let me get a ride on the 20. Well, you certainly don't have to, but it would be most appreciated. The more I see them (in pics and videos), the more I want one. Thomas has been doing his best to talk me into an 18, but the 20 might be a better fit (i'm kind of a big dude). I've heard about you going out with those guys. They really are a great bunch of folks to sail with, they've gotten me totally hooked on ocean sailing. I head down there every chance I get. Do you ever single-hand the 20?? Dang, now I'm stealing the thread ![]() |

I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't want a N20. But a single hand boat is so nice. |

Yeah, the FX-one sounds like a real nice boat, especially for a single-hander. I hear it handles the big guys (like myself) pretty nicely as well. I'd love to check one out. Once I win the lottery I'll help beef up the fleet ![]() |
