Post subject: | Best Cat Camping Trip Site |
OK so there are several cat camping ideas floating out there, some sinking some floating. If we were to find a trip for a typical traveling vacation, say two weekends and and a Monday thru Friday. Some of us traveling more than a day or two. Where would we go? (3-5 days camping after the travel) I think some where like Montana to Oklahoma whith a big old lake. Plenty of partying and plenty of "Racing". (Its gotta be warm too) Me, I am usually up for any reason to hit the road. Give me an excuse! |

Mike, So the guys from the coast want to go inland to a lake? And as Karl eluded the inlanders want to go to the coast. ![]() Oklahoma? I'd recommend Texoma. Montana? I always wanted to go to Fort Peck Reservoir, although I don't now a thing about it except my grandfather helped build the dam. Now that's a monster lake. Nebraska - McConaughey Reservoir, 24 miles of sandy shores (4WD needed) On our 'to do' list. How about Coure de Lane Idaho? No nothing of the wind situation. One thing about plains states is you'll get some good wind, maybe more than you want ![]() |

Mike-Scroll down on this Hobie Cat Forum to "Places To Sail'. It's a good source of information about good places to sail and the facilities at these places. My best source of information about places to sail & camp (vacation) has been the commodores of fleets in areas I was interested in visiting. They'll tell you where to launch & when they have regattas & fleet activities at that location. You might want to join them for the weekend. My best trips have been to go to several places for 2-3 days at a time rather than just one place for nine days. Good Luck! Rich |
