I just got my new Go pro Hero 3 and wanted to know where's the best place to put it on the tiger to shoot good sailing videos. Also any of you that have one is the surfer clip or the velcrow strap better? After the 29th and 30th i plan to have my first attempt at a video on line. If the Wind Gods are nice to us at Woodward next weekend. Thanks all |

I got mine a while back and have not figured how to use it to full advantage. The surfer clip seems worthless for sailing. If I needed to do a quick video while otherwise occupied, I might use it, but for sailing I'm still trying to find good mounting options. So far, I have either done handheld or strapped to the boom. I want to make a front and rear mount with a tether to get some action video. I need to find some good video editing software that is free. |

Windows Movie Maker is free. It's not great, but it'll let you do the basics. There's a good chance that you already have it on your computer. |

You might as well try a bunch of different locations... Bow veiw looking aft. Mast looking down. Tiller looking at the crew. Crossbar looking forward and/or back. Just expirement!!! |

I’m going to be picking up a Go Pro Hero3 very shortly. I’ve seen different photos and video samples and it looks great for the money. As far the SD Memory card goes. I want to do video while sailing so I what as much storage memory as possible. The documentation states I can support up to 2 GBytes SD Card. Do the quality/speed of the card matter? Do I need a SD Ultra? What do you suggest? By the way, I'm confused by the specifications. PoPro web site states "54 minutes high quality video on 2GB SD Card" . I've seen in review that this is a "10 sec - Max clip duration" Is this true? |

This is the best Hobie sailing video I've seen so far. The guy who made it had the camera on his head, mast, boom, and spinnaker pole. |

For some High Quality Tiger video check out the five videos at [url]funsport.hu[/url] This had t be done with a professional camera. |
