Post subject: | Hobie course |
Hi guys! I could be a new entry...right now I'm waiting next basic course on Garda Lake (I'm forced to wait other 2 weeks ![]() I'm crazy about water sports, like windsurfing, kiteboarding, wakeboarding, swim.....and now this new challenge... ![]() The problem is I found a school which foresees course on laser boats instead of moving directly to Hobie Cat...Is it the standard way??? ![]() ![]() And do you think it could be easy to find a second hand hobie? ![]() Ciao, Andrea |

Post subject: | Starting on a Laser? |
Andrea, This site is Hobie Cat USA. I would say that most places in the USA would start on a monohull. That would be because they don't have Hobie Waves! The Wave is a great learning boat. The Laser is a pain in comparison... Do they want to scare off new sailors? Look into used boats in Europe from the Hobie Cat FRance site or from the class association sites in Europe. I can't say what might be available in Europe. http://www.hobie-cat.net http://www.hobie-cat.net/site_gb/index.php?naviguer,learn http://www.haveahobieday.com |
