 Post subject: Mounting shroud plates

Want to remount the shroud plates on the side bars..........

will butal tape work to isolate the stainless from the aluminum? or ?

also, in the last sidebars, the stainless rivets corroded the aluminum bars ...... are aluminum rivets too soft? (thinking it would be easier to replace the rivets as they corrode then to damage the bars)

Last things first - Al rivets are too soft. You need SS or Monel rivets.

You can use several different things to mitigate the dissimilar metals / electrolyte (salt water) issue - LanoCote, DuraLac, TefGel, etc. They all work.
