I am looking to buy a 2013 Hobie Outback. It looks to be in great shape but I can’t test it in the water since it is January. I am most fearful of someone selling me a lemon....like with a cracked hull. Any tips on what to look for, are cracks in the hull always visible? I looked at some other posts about where to inspect but still am anxious. I am getting it for just under $1000 and it does seem well cared for. Any tips from the regulars?

Fill it with water to check for leaks. Look the drive over for cracks, corrosion and general care. Check scupper holes for wear. Lots of old hobies still going strong. Another concern for me would be excessive uv exposure.
