For its 2017 model year sailboats, Hobie® is introducing a colorful new wave of sails inspired by the tropics.

Like many successful creative brainstorms, we started with a little music… and what better song than “Kokomo” by the Beach Boys… “Aruba, Jamaica, Ooh I want to take you to Bermuda, Bahamas…” Just kidding.

But really, sailing a Hobie is exhilarating and has the ability to make you feel like you are vacationing on some beautiful tropical island, with no worries whatsoever. So why wouldn’t our new sail colors and names take a cue from some of the best destinations out there? Aruba, Bahamas, Cayman, Montego, Tortola. Hobie wanted to bring the fun, excitement and carefree feelings of vacation to your local waters.
