Who are the new Hobie World Champions?
Noordwijk certainly turned it on for the 2017 Hobie® Multiwords and Europeans. We had no wind, too much wind, rain, and warm weather although the one thing we did get in abundance was fun and friendship. There was a husband and wife competing for the Hobie 14 World Championships. Father and daughter winning the Hobie Wild Cat World Championships. We had two friends winning the Hobie Dragoon World Championships. Then all other combinations of racing. At the end of the racing everyone came together in the big blue tent, ‘Hobie Holland House’ as friends and partied. There is so much to see in photos and videos, plus stories on the IHCA website and Facebook site.
The Hobie 16 Gold Fleet had the ‘special’ sails provide by Hobie Cat Europe. They stood out like beacons on the North Sea. For those wishing to buy the sails they are still available to purchase from Hobie Cat Europe.
The fun of the MultiEuropeans don’t stop as the EHCA has already announced the 2018 Hobie Multi Europeans for Hornbaek Beach, Denmark, 20-28 July 2018. Book your holidays as this is going to be a spectacular Hobie event. As Hornbaek is a small town the earlier you book your accommodation the closer you are to the sailing and parties.
There is a lot more happening through the year with the 2017 Hobie North American Mini Mega Waves, 14s, 16 Youth, Hobie Women, 17s and 18s at Sandy Hook Bay starting now. 2017 Hobie 16 South African Nations Championships in Langebaan, registration 29th September and racing starts 30 September to the 3rd October. Brascat (Brazilian Nationals) 2017 will take place Porto Alegre from the 10-18 November 2017. 2017 Australian Hobie Championships 28th Dec 2017 to 3rd Jan 2018. So lots of Hobie racing near you.

2017 Europeans What Happened?
From the opening ceremony when the Hobie 16 Gold Fleet sails supplied by Hobie Cat Europe were shown to the crowd, util the final day it was all action, excitement and fun.
2017 Australian Hobie Championships Announced
