The anticipation is great. Two weeks ago, Hobie Brasil announced its first qualifying tournament for Hobie Fishing Worlds. The news has raised the adrenaline of fishermen from all over Brazil.

The tournament, which is set to take place in October, from the 6th to 9th, will challenge 50 of Brasil’s best anglers to two days of competition. They will battle for the top positions, and also the opportunity to represent Brasil in the Hobie Fishing Worlds 7.
In Brazil, for years, fisherman have only watched the great fishing tournaments from around the world. Brazilian fisherman only dreamed of the day that they could compete in a world class tournament. The dream is now a reality. The time has come to compete in a world class event in our own backyard.

First Hobie Fishing Brasil
With the same world-class requirements as Hobie Fishing World qualifying tournaments in other continents, the Brazilian tournament is a first for South America. The four-day event will include two days of competition on the water. All of the anglers will stay at a resort on the shores of a beautiful lake for largemouth bass, wolf fish (traíra) and tilapia.

The first Hobie Fishing Brasil tournament will be held in the state of Paraná at the Plaza Ecoresort Capivari, on the banks of the Capivari reservoir, 40 minutes from the state capital, Curitiba. The infrastructure of the event is impressive and the organizers have thought of every detail so that the anglers can maintain a single focus: catch the biggest fish!

Yes! Hobie Brasil is organizing the event and is bringing to the event all of the experience and benefits that the Hobie Cat Company of the USA has learned from 6 previous Hobie Fishing Worlds championships.
