The third day of racing started with perfect conditions for Hobie sailing, getting the boats in the fourth race off beach at 9:30. The race committee set the course at 2GO at 0.7 nautical miles to take advantage of the 15-20 knot winds of 020º for a 10:00 start.

Former Hobie 16 World Champion, Blain Dodds and daughter Roxanne Dodds were 8th at the first weather mark. At the second weather mark they moved into third before taking the lead at the final weather mark to carry home the victory. They were followed closely by West Australians Darren Smith and Kerstin Houk with the current class leaders Claudio Teixeira and Bruno Reis from Brazil coming in third.
