Kayak Angler Magazine scored quite a scoop for their early summer print edition, now on newsstands. Editor Ric Burnley cornered elite bass pro Micheal Iaconelli to ask about the Hobie® Mirage Pro Angler 14 he’s had on his rig since the 2016 Bassmaster Classic. Does Ike, a guy who can fish any boat he likes, really fish his PA?

Turns out Ike grew up fishing from a canoe. He purchased his first kayak 15 years back. Like most of us, he has a favorite kayak fishing story, one that involves a sleigh ride, but surprisingly doesn’t star a bass.

“I feel like a kid in a candy store,” he says of his Pro Angler rigged with a Power-Pole Micro Anchor, Lowrance HDS fishfinder, and all kinds of other “big boat” bells and whistles.
