For all the junior sailors (15 years old or younger by December 31, 2017), imagine being in Bermuda in June 2017 when the America’s Cup is being raced. Launching a Hobie Wave from the official America’s Cup marina. Racing close to the America’s Cup finish line. Fifty meters from the shoreline in front of the main America’s Cup grandstand. An estimated 10,000 people in the marina and over 500 million people watching on the internet or TV.
This dream can be a reality for some lucky Hobie sailors. This is an opportunity for our junior sailors not to miss. The 2017 French Hobie Championships
The 2017 French Hobie Championships have been announced. They will be from the 3-5 June at Châtelaillon-Plage which is south of the city of La Rochelle. More information can be found at the French Hobie Class website.
New Racing Rules of Sailing
From the 1st January there will be a new Racing Rules of Sailing. World Sailing (formerly ISAF) have a new app for iPhone and iPad with all the new racing rules. Versions for Android and Windows will be available in January 2017. The rules are a free download.
As 2016 draws to a close the IHCA would like to wish everyone a happy and safe holiday period. Many will be travelling and we wish them safe travels. We look forward to having many more Hobie regattas in 2017 which we hope you can attend.

2017 Hobie® 16 & 20 North American Championships Registration is Open
The North American Hobie 16 & 20 championships in Yankton SD has opened registration. The championships will be held at the Lewis and Clark Resort and Marina from 17-23 June 2017. Notice of Race (opens PDF).

2017 Hobie North American Mini Mega Waves, 14s, 16 Youth, Hobie Women, 17s and 18s
This will be a 10 day event for the Hobie Wave, 14, 16 Youth, 16 Women, 17 and 18 North American Championship.
Event Dates: August 2 – 12 (Arrival Wednesday, Racing Thursday thru Saturday, Lazy Day Sunday, Racing Monday thru Friday).
No Charter Fees for Sail the Gulf 2017
It is the 25th anniversary of this international regatta so don’t hesitate to take part and celebrate with us. Many activities will take place. Since it is the 25th anniversary there will be no charter fee.
Cash prize money will be awarded to the top 3 places. More information.

Who Won the 2016 French Hobie 16 Championships?
