Hobie Small Boat Sailing Class 100 SBS

Learn the basics of small boat sailing unlike with any other sailing class available. You’ll learn to trim your sails, tack, jibe, sail in the groove, and more aboard our Sailing Simulator and then on-the-water aboard our Hobie Wave’s and Islands (for persons with disAbilities) in this one full day course. Tuition covers syllabus, learn-to-sail pamphlet, safe boating manual, use of sailboat(s) and equipment and sailing simulator, and certification of completion Safe Boating Certificate (80% passing score). It is mandatory that you’re able to swim or comfortable in a Life Jacket while in the water. Come prepared in clothing appropriate for water-based activities (syllabus contains items to bring, etc.). This course is perfect for those wanting to learn to sail small sailboat, daysailor, monohull dinghy, small multihulls of various configurations such as a catamaran like a Hobie Wave or Getaway, or Hobie 16, and/or Hobie Mirage Island (sailing kayak/sail yak).
