Hello fellow "Islanders …. My First Post. Im here looking for others to have some adventures with. Tis hard to find others, most boats cant go where we can go. I enjoy lakes and oceans but am happiest floating down a river. I like to go out for daylong adventures at least once a week during the season...….which started yesterday for me. Im down for some overnite(s) excursions as well. Last years adventures … Some local(ish) goals include... Hudson River, NYC, Block Island, LI crossings, Champlain, Lake George, Thames River, RI...etc If I find the time and money ….. Intercoastal, Mississippi River, Colorado River Lakes, FLA and other SEUSA destinations, ETC. Hope to hear from yall. |

Welcome to the forum. Love to meet up for a sail. I typically sail out of the mid-Atlantic area (Philly, NJ, Del, Md). I do occasionally do runs in the Hudson in the NYC area. Spent many summers sailing in the Long Island sound (Mattituck, NY). Typically do 15-30 mile runs with max around 50-60 miles in a day. Just about all are loops with returns back to the launch point. Mostly in coastal areas. I do try to drag my TI to FL for a few weeks in March... I do stick out into the Atlantic ocean a fair bit. Sail year round |

Welcome NobodyNelson! I'm originally from Connecticut so I enjoyed studying your map of last years sails. Although I no longer live in the area (I moved 5,000 miles away) look forward to your future posts of your sailing adventures. Enjoy! |
