I have the 10.5 Hobie Passport kayak and Hobie recommends transporting the kayak upside down. If I use the Riverside Universal foam block, would it be okay to transport it right side up?

It'll work fine for transporting. Just don't want to store your kayak right side up for long periods of time without something that conforms to the shape of the hull. If it is stored on flat ground it can develop flat spots over time.
