I'm looking to add some underwater lighting to my compass and wondering if anyone has any thoughts or ideas on how to mount lights etc with holes coming through the hull below the waterline and sealing them to prevent any kind of leaks...

Looking to do a lot of night fishing soon (started working days and used to be out on the water 4 days a week, now it's maybe 1 if weather holds out on the weekend. Hence night fishing :P

They way you describe it does not sound like a good idea. If you want underwater then buy an underwater light.

Maybe check youtube for some DIYs. Fishin N Stuff on YouTube has a few DIY nav light and underwater light videos.

They way you portray it doesn't seem like a smart thought. In the event that you need submerged, purchase a submerged light.
Perhaps check youtube for some DIYs. Fishin N Stuff on YouTube has a couple of DIY nav light and submerged light recordings

Some of our customers have had success with the FPV underwater fishing light. Most of them are just dangling them down a scupper hole, but there would be other ways to skin this cat
