I was recently given an older kayak that has “alpha Hobie Cat” printed on the side. It’s white with blue and yellow details and it has the 3 fins intact underneath. I’m trying to find out anything I can about it. I live on a small inland lake and within a few miles of Lake Michigan, although it would have to be a very calm, warm day for the big lake! This is likely a "Wave Ski" that was made by Alpha and distributed by Hobie Cat in the 80's.

Hobie Cat has announced the introduction of a new water toy, the Alpha Wave. It's not a boat or a surfboard. According to Hobie Cat, the Alpha Wave is an exciting new water toy that is perfect for easy paddling on lakes, bays or smooth rivers or for surfing ocean waves.
