Sorry it didn't work out better for you, but why did you use the DP8005 instead of DP8010? They cost about the same, yet 8010 has a longer working life and is stronger, better suited to our application.
Regardless, there are limits when you are trying to correct a weaker design on a boat that must be between 8 and 10 years old. Nothing lasts forever and if you were using your boat almost daily (which you seemed to be at the time) you may have extended its life by 1000 to 1500 hours (?). That's not bad -- a pretty good bang for your buck actually.
I was sorry to let my original Adventure go eventually, but it had over 2000 hard miles of abuse and great service. By then, one of my repairs had cracked, I had repaired an additional crack in the drivewell and had another one growing rapidly. This may seem odd, but I saved the front hatch and put it on its replacement boat as a tribute to the great service it gave!
